Some of the biggest red flags to look for include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-block-list wp-elements-885785d3b838e6abf4f0cd298479831c\">\n<li><strong>The smell of moisture<\/strong>. Moisture can not only cause structural damage to the home, but it can also promote the growth of mold\u2014and make it completely uninhabitable. If you can smell moisture, consider it a major red flag.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sloping or sagging floors<\/strong>. If the floors of a house are warped, it\u2019s an indicator of structural problems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A bad roof<\/strong>. Repairing or replacing a roof is an expensive undertaking\u2014so if a property\u2019s roof is about ready to give, it\u2019s probably a good idea to move on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Foundation issues<\/strong>.
